Take a look at this log cabin located 330 kilometers northwest of Rovaniemi, and 88 kilometers north of Muonio, in the village of Karesuvanto. The cabin is located on the River Muonionjoki with its deep, natural state shore, the width of the river is 250 meters, with Sweden on the opposite shore of the river. River Muonionjoki joins river Tornionjoki and it is a salmon river. The cabin has a rowing boat and 2 life jackets available. The log cottage was built in 2017, and the inside is paneled.
The cabin has a combined kitchen-living room with a convertible bed, electric sauna, toilet and shower corner, and a covered porch. A mattress can be used as an extra bed on the floor. The log cabin has a mini kitchen with two hotplates, but no oven. Storage is placed under the seats. The log cabin has a metallic fireplace, darkening blinds on the windows, a small terrace with a table and chairs, a small metallic outdoor fire pit, and a ball bbq grill. Features of the log cabin include bed linen and towels included in the price, electric lighting, electric heating, a stove, water pipe from the own well, shower, electric sauna, toilet, electric hot plate (no oven), fridge, microwave oven, TV, radio, barbecue, single cottage, and a rowing boat.
You’ll want to note that water in the tap comes from its well and contains some iron, which might cause occasionally some smell/taste in the water. However, it’s examined and safe to use. Guests of the log cabin can bring drinking water along. The power line passes in front of the log cottage. The cottage is located near the services of Karesuvanto village and Sweden Karesuando village. The cabin is close to a small grocery shop, restaurant, and fuel sales in Karesuvanto. Neste Karesuvanto (distance approx. 950 meters) also has an electric car charging point. The border crossing to Sweden is just 1.5 kilometers away close to Sweden Karesuando shops, restaurants, and services 2 to 3 kilometers. Two pairs of snowshoes are available at the cabin. Guide services for fishing trips and safari trips from the owner. There is a possibility to rent a kayak, inquiries from the owner are recommended well in advance.

Karesuvanto or Kaaresuvanto is a village in Enontekio municipality, located in the Finnish Lapland, the largest and northernmost region in Finland.
