Just 2 miles from Ski Cooper ski resort, 13 miles from Leadville, 25 miles from Vail, and 33 miles to Copper Mountain. There is plenty of hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling, ATVs, and fly-fishing all within minutes of the house.

The house sits on 5 acres abutting the gigantic White River National Forest. Everything that Colorado has to offer can be done within minutes of the house, whether it be fly-fishing, skiing, white water rafting, hiking, 4-wheeling, horseback riding, or craft beer drinking in Leadville. An easy drive to Vail, Buena Vista, Copper Mountain, and Breckenridge. The house is a timber-built home with huge wood beams everywhere. It is well-insulated with lots of windows. The house is off-grid but has WIFI, all appliances except for a microwave, and solar power with a backup propane generator. The house does not have air conditioning because you would never need it. For heating, the house has radiant floor heating and a great wood-burning fireplace. Guests have access to the whole house except the garage. Cell service will not work in this area. The house has a landline and your phone will work if you set it to WIFI calling.

Located in Red Cliff, Colorado, United States the house is just 2 miles north of Ski Cooper ski resort in a small mountain neighborhood with a well-maintained dirt road connecting it to Highway 24. It is just 12 miles North of Leadville and 25 miles south of Vail. It is recommended to have a car. In the winter, you need all-wheel drive or 4WD because snow is common at 10,000 feet of elevation. The road and driveways are snow plowed in the winter. Hiking and biking trails are accessible from the property. The following are just a few of the activities you can enjoy during your vacation stay.

Continental Divide Trail. The Continental Divide Trail/Colorado Trail connects a few hundred yards from the house. There is a trail from the property called the Fiddler Trail that connects to it.

Ski Cooper. Ski Cooper is a great local ski resort less than 3 miles from the house. Cooper is the very definition of authentic skiing, with the softest snow surface in Colorado. They have terrain variety for all abilities, including the finest learning and beginner terrain in the country, up through epic powder, glades, and bumps.

Buena Vista. A cool little town with a cool Main Street with tons of shops, and restaurants. Great place for white water rafting/mountain biking. Also, make sure to walk to the south main area.
