Grand Targhee Resort. Grand Targhee Resort is known for its record snowfall and quiet slopes in the winter, but it also offers tremendous summer activities. From the top of Fred’s Mountain (accessible by a scenic chair ride), you have epic views of the entire Teton Range, the surrounding area, and the Valley floor. The resort sports 15-plus miles of lift-served downhill bike trails, and over 70-plus miles of cross-country and multi-use trails. There are beautiful hikes and guided horseback rides by Haviland’s Western Adventure.
