In a quirky garden location, a 1969 school bus has been tastefully turned into a modest guest home. A really nice queen-size bed, room darkening drapes, a kitchenette, a propane fireplace heater, a stand-up shower, a tiny countertop workplace, and a lovely sitting area are just a few of the amenities crammed into this short bus ride home. There is an outhouse attached to the house with an environmentally friendly composting toilet, a sink with hot running water, and even a chandelier the owner found on the side of the road. Prepare yourself for a trip down memory lane. There is no wifi on board, however there is cell service. Board games, cards, books and maps of the local area, painting supplies, and good, old-fashioned postcards and letter writing supplies are also available.

A covered deck with seating, a gas BBQ, a hammock in the woods, and a private fire pit area with Adirondack chairs are all available on the bus’s outdoor space. The property features beautiful gardens and big trees that surround the entire area. A bar fridge, a small two-burner propane stove, a kettle, and a toaster are all included in the kitchenette. Black, green, and herbal teas, a pour-over coffee setup, sugar/honey, spices, oil, and vinegar will all be on hand. There are all of the required pots, pans, plates, silverware, and cups. There’s also an outdoor BBQ, as well as the necessary accessories. Regular and non-dairy milk, as well as ketchup and mustard, will be kept in the fridge.

You’ll either get some of the owner’s famous homemade nutty granola for breakfast, a couple of farm-fresh eggs laid on the site, or a baked treat. You can let the owner know if you have a strong preference or a major allergy, and they will do their best to accommodate you. You should also keep in mind that while the outhouse is posh, it is still an outhouse, so you should think about if it is acceptable to you.
